The target audience for our media product is 16-30 year olds because they are more likely to be interested in thriller films as they are not really meant for younger people as they storylines tend to be too mature for them. Although this is quite a wide range, I believe it is suitable for the type of film I am creating. I would like to think that my target audience will contain both males and females because I don’t want to be stereotypical and assume that it is only males that watch thriller films. The girl to the right is and average 20 year old women who is interested in music, fashion, sport and socialising with her friends. Their hobbies may include playing sport, listening to music, going to concerts or gigs and spending time with friends. She dresses quite casual and not too fancy. Her favourite film genre is thriller but likes other genres like horror. She listens to all sorts of music but mainly up beat rock music and music in the charts.
Our interview to our target audience:
Before watching the opening sequence:
  1. What do you expect the location, props, and costumes to be like in a thriller- crime film?
  2. What conventions do you expect to see in a thriller-crime film?
  3. What type of characters do you expect to see in a thriller-crime film?
  4. What type of music do you expect to hear in a thriller-crime film? (upbeat, slow…)
