EVALUATION QUESTION 3: What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

The Odeon may be one of the media institutions that might distribute our media product. I think this because at the moment they are showing five different thriller films in cinema. These consist of; A Most Violent Year, Ex Machina, Gone Girl, Night Crawler and The Imitation Game. Most of these films fit the same target audience as our opening sequence except for The Imitation Game. I know this from the age certification rating. Most of the films are rated a 15 or an 18 which is similar to the audience we are targeting.

Another kind of media institution that might distribute our media product is a production company such as Metro Goldwyn Mayer and 20^th Century Fox Entertainments. Production companies help to create the film. They help with the budgeting, cast, schedules, script and more. They asses the film during the first stages when coming up with initial ideas all the way through till the final product is ready.

Another kind of media institution that might distribute our media product is YouTube this is because it’s a quick and easy way of distributing media products for free. The good thing with YouTube is that the whole world can view videos on YouTube without the need of an account which means that more people will see your film and be able to spread the word to others.
