EVALUATION QUESTION 7: Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product? by Georgia Royle

EVALUATION QUESTION 7: Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?

From looking at the Preliminary task, i feel that i have progressed and learned new things in developing a film. i have learned how to do a number of different techniques in how to cut to scenes smoother and make the film flow better. comparing that to the preliminary task i feel like that was an area that was lacking and i feel made the film not look as professional and so i am pleased that the finished opening sequence was much better. i also learned different camera angles, this helped me decide on what shot to take forward to editing and i feel when comparing to the preliminary task a lot of the same shots were used and i think using a variety of shots looks a lot better. i developed skills such as working in a team and and sometimes i feel i let my team down but i feel that everyone was listened to and made a valuable contribution to the task and worked hard together to get the finished result. comparing to the preliminary task i feel like more work was done on the camera such as the different shots in the opening sequence but when we filmed the preliminary task we used an editing technique called match on action and relied more on that then the different shot types. match on action is a editing technique by which one shot cuts to another shot. for example someone walking to a destination, you would film the start and the end and cut out the bits that are not relevant to the film.  other techniques we could of used are shot reverse shot and 180 degree rule. both could of been used but the 180 degree rule i think would of been a good idea to put in our opening sequence.
